One driver, four lightsIn plug-in low-voltage lighting, every light needs a connection to a driver. The
LED-SP-4 splitter makes one driver do the work of several: its single female
DC2.1 connector joins the driver side, and its 4 male connectors branch out to 4 separate lights. The result is a cleaner layout, fewer power supplies and fewer outlets used, which matters in kitchens where outlets are reserved for appliances.
Made for 24V plug-in lightingThis splitter is intended for
24V systems using the DC2.1 plug-in connection, including
LED tape, STR lights and SLM puck lights. Because everything plugs together, installation needs no stripping, no soldering and no wire nuts on the low-voltage side. For a complete setup, pair it with the
24V DC LED driver 60W, a plug-in driver with the same DC 2.1 connection.
Planning the loadA splitter distributes power; it does not add any. Before connecting, add up the wattage of every light you plan to plug into the splitter and make sure the total stays within the driver's rating, with a comfortable margin. Check that each light is designed for 24V DC. For larger projects, use several drivers, each with its own splitter, and divide the lighting into zones.
Installation tipsPlace the driver and the splitter in a dry, accessible spot, such as on top of the upper cabinets or inside a cabinet, and route the leads to each light along the underside of the cabinets. Use clips to hold the wires in place and keep connections away from heat sources. Unplug the driver before connecting or disconnecting any light.
Ideal applicationsUse the splitter to light a row of kitchen cabinets with puck lights, to combine several runs of tape light in a bar or a bookcase, to light display cabinets in a boutique or showroom, or to brighten a closet with multiple fixtures from a single outlet.
