Three functions in one unit
Most small low-voltage projects need three things: a driver to convert household power to 12V, a way to connect several lights, and a way to turn them on and off. The LED-TP10-WH brings all three together. It is a desktop-style driver with a plug for the wall outlet, a hub with 5 ports for your lights and a built-in switch, all in a compact white housing that can sit on top of a cabinet, inside a piece of furniture or on a shelf.
Power and capacity
The driver supplies 12V with a 12W capacity. Before connecting, add up the wattage of every light you plan to plug into the hub and keep the total within the 12W rating, ideally with some margin so the unit stays cool. Make sure each light is designed for a 12V supply, since lights built for another voltage will not operate correctly. Five ports make it easy to organize a project, but the total load, not the number of ports, determines how many lights you can connect.
Easy installation
There is no hardwiring: plug the unit into an outlet, connect the lights to the ports and use the switch to turn them on. This makes it ideal for renters, for furniture and millwork that may be moved, and for do-it-yourself projects. Place the hub where the leads from each light can reach it easily, route the wires neatly with clips along the underside of cabinets or inside shelving, and keep the unit in a dry indoor spot with some air around it.
A clean white look
The white housing blends into white kitchen cabinets, bookcases and walls, so the equipment stays in the background. With all connections gathered in one hub, there is no clutter of adapters behind the counter or inside the cabinet.
Where to use it
Use the 5-port LED hub to light a row of kitchen cabinets, a glass-door china cabinet, a bookcase or a pantry, to add light to a home office desk area or a closet, or to set up display lighting in a boutique or a showroom. Always unplug the unit before adding or removing a light.
