Built for the sockets you already haveThe VIVID MR16 X25 keeps the familiar MR16 reflector shape but adds a
JDR E26 medium screw base and a
short neck, the combination used in countless residential and commercial fixtures across Canada. That short-neck geometry matters: with a maximum overall diameter of 1.97 in. and a maximum overall length of 2.07 in., the lamp sits deep enough in shallow track heads, eyeball trims and gimbal housings that the reflector stays hidden and the glare stays out of your eyes. Because it runs directly on
120V, there is no transformer, no driver box, no low-voltage wiring to chase — you unscrew the halogen and screw in the LED.
Light quality you can live withAt
3000K, this is the classic warm white that reads as cozy rather than yellow — the sweet spot for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hospitality spaces. The
CRI of 80+ keeps reds, woods and fabrics looking natural under the beam, which is exactly what you want over a dining table, a merchandise display or a stone fireplace. The
45° wide flood distribution (WFL45) is broad enough to blend from head to head along a track or a row of pot lights, so you get an even wash instead of a runway of hot spots, while
560 lumens gives you real usable output from a 7W lamp.
Dimming, heat and where it can goThis lamp is
dimmable, so a single circuit can serve bright prep lighting and soft evening ambiance; as with any LED retrofit, confirm your wall dimmer is an LED-compatible model and keep the load within the dimmer's minimum and maximum. It is approved for
enclosed fixture use — a genuine advantage when you are dealing with closed glass ceiling fixtures, shower trims or sealed outdoor housings where many LED lamps are not permitted. The
damp location rating covers bathrooms, covered porches and soffits, and the operating temperature range of -20 ˚C to +45 ˚C means cold Canadian garages, three-season rooms and unheated entryways are fair game.
