The lamp measures 1.97 in. maximum overall diameter and 1.38 in. maximum overall length, so it seats properly in standard MR16 trims, track heads and gimbal rings without sticking out. Installation, dimming and compatibility
This is a 12V low-voltage lamp, so it must be fed by a transformer or LED driver — never wire it to 120 V. Cut the power, let the old halogen cool, pull it straight out of the bi-pin socket and push the VASO in; no tools, no rewiring. Because LED lamps draw far less than halogen, check that your existing magnetic or electronic transformer can operate at the low load of a 6.5W dimmable LED bulb; on older dimming systems, matching the dimmer and transformer to the LED load is what guarantees flicker-free, smooth fades.
