Built around a diffused filamentThe Artisan II A15 uses LED filament strands housed inside a
milky white glass cover. That frosted envelope is what separates this lamp from a clear filament bulb: instead of seeing individual glowing lines, you get a soft, uniform luminous ball that is comfortable to look at directly. It is the right choice for fixtures where the bulb sits at eye level or below a clear shade, and for anyone who loves the filament shape but not the glare. The compact A15 profile, with a
3.35 in maximum overall length, slips into tight pendants, sconces and fan kits where a full-size A19 feels oversized.
Light quality you can seeAt
CRI ≥90, colours stay honest: wood grain, paint samples, plated food and clothing all keep their depth. The
3000 K warm white is the classic Canadian home temperature, cozier than a neutral 4000 K but cleaner than candle-amber. Output is
500 lumens from only
5.5 W, and the
330° beam angle means light is thrown up, out and down at once, filling shades instead of punching a single beam into the ceiling. Compared with the halogen and incandescent lamps it replaces, an LED filament bulb like this one draws a small fraction of the energy while running far cooler.

Installation and dimmingInstallation is as simple as it gets: cut the power, thread the bulb into any
E26 medium socket on a 120 V circuit, and restore power. Because the lamp is
dimmable, it should be paired with an LED-compatible dimmer; if you notice flicker at the bottom of the range, adjust the dimmer's low-end trim as the dimmer manufacturer instructs. One important limit: this bulb is
not for totally enclosed fixtures, so keep it out of sealed glass jars and gasketed ceiling domes where heat cannot escape. Its
damp location rating covers covered porches, soffited entries, bathrooms with normal ventilation and three-season rooms, and the -25 ˚C to +45 ˚C range handles cold starts in unheated spaces.
Applications and matching bulbsThink of a dining room with three glass pendants over the table, a hallway lined with wall sconces, a bedroom with matching bedside lamps, or a café where a dozen open sockets hang above the counter — anywhere the bulb is visible and the mood matters. Contractors use it to standardize a whole house on one warm 3000 K, high-CRI look. To build that set, combine it with the
Artisan II A19 9W milky white 3000K in larger fixtures, the
Artisan II B10 5W 3000K candelabra lamp for chandeliers, or the clear
Artisan II ST19 5W 3000K where exposed filaments are the design statement. The full technical PDF spec sheet for this model is available in the Documentation tab for your submittals and takeoffs.
