Construction and designThe TL-TUROSMART ceiling Bluetooth passive infrared sensor was drawn to disappear. Its
low-profile housing mounts flat against the ceiling with an unobtrusive appearance, so it reads as part of the ceiling plane rather than as add-on hardware — important in offices, clinics and retail spaces where the ceiling is part of the design. The
PIR sensor looks straight down and out for a full 360° coverage pattern, and an on-board
LED motion indicator blinks as it detects, which makes aiming, testing and commissioning far quicker than guessing from the floor.
Bluetooth mesh control and dimmingThis device is a
Bluetooth to 0-10V dimming signal converter built on a Bluetooth® SIG mesh network. In a mesh, every node passes the signal along to its neighbours, so control distance grows with the number of devices instead of being limited to one radio hop. The dim control output is 0-10V with max. 25mA sinking current, and the
built-in light level sensor works from 10 to 300 footcandles (107.6 to 3,229.2 lux) so fixtures ride down automatically when daylight comes through the windows. Occupancy detection, over-the-air updates, daylight harvesting, adjustable sensitivity, automated controls and smart scheduling are all handled through the TUROSMART app, which lets you add and rename lights, set wattage and dimming, adjust sensor settings, create and edit groups and scenes, and build schedules linked to a group with set repetition times.

Installation and compatibilityInstallation is straightforward for any electrician: the sensor is field installed, wired per the diagram on the spec sheet, and fixed to a
4 square junction box with double gang mud ring or a 4 inch octagonal junction box. The 120-347V connector means one part number covers residential 120V and commercial 347V distribution. Keep the mounting height at 12ft (3.7m) Max. to stay within the Max. 20ft (6.1m) detection radius, and remember the on-board antenna's typical outdoor wireless range of 150ft (40m) is a guideline — actual range depends on field installation, walls and metal decking. Reset is available two ways: press the button on the sensor for 5 seconds, or use remote reset by pressing "RESET" then "ON/OFF" in sequence. On the TUROSMART compatibility chart, this version works with the RGD-CDR, EDA-SP, EDA-HS, EDA-ECL, SGS-R, RGD-CB3, RGD-CB3 LVS, RGD-BLP6, PRO-BLP3, ZNTH60-PD, ZNTH60-PDI, ZNTH60-RD, ZNTH60-SD, ZNTH60-WD, ZNTH60-WDI, DL-EC2~D, DL-EC2~D/A, PRO-EC2~D, DL-VT2, DL-VT3, DL-WA5T2, DL-WA2 and DL-WA3 families.
Applications and documentationThink open-plan offices where perimeter rows dim against window light, school corridors that wake as students pass, a mechanic's bay or warehouse aisle where vapour tight fixtures only run when someone is there, a condo storage locker room, or a small business back office. Because everything is grouped, scened and scheduled in the app, changes later are a phone task, not a rewire. For projects that need straight
occupancy on/off rather than 0-10V dimming, the companion
Bluetooth mesh 120-347V occupancy sensor on/off switch lives on the same mesh network. The full
spec sheet, with the wiring diagram, sensor coverage chart and the complete Turosmart fixture compatibility table, is in the Documentation tab.
