STEEL LOCKNUT 1" - BAG OF 10

STEEL LOCKNUT 1" - BAG OF 10

SKU: ED-LNS-S100

Brand: ARANI

Big conduit deserves a locknut that can hold its own: the 1 in steel locknut ED-LNS-S100 secures 1 in connectors and conduit fittings to panels, disconnects and large boxes, and comes in a convenient bag of 10. Threaded onto the fitting from inside the enclosure and tightened against the wall, it keeps heavier raceways and cables from twisting or backing out. Whether you call it a 1 inch conduit locknut, a lock nut for electrical fittings or a 1 in connector locknut, it is a must-have for residential and commercial electrical projects.

Made of steel by Arani, this locknut fits the 1 in trade size used on heavier-duty runs: feeders to a subpanel, circuits for large equipment, or commercial conduit carrying several conductors. It works with 1 in EMT connectors, cable connectors, flexible and liquid-tight fittings and threaded rigid conduit, wherever a 1 in knockout is found: panel enclosures, disconnect switches, splitters, junction and pull boxes. Snug and square against the wall, it helps the fitting stay firmly in place under the weight of a larger conduit and leaves a tidy, professional installation. With 10 locknuts per bag, you have enough for a full project, spares included.

Picture the jobs where 1 in fittings earn their keep: a feeder to a detached garage or a basement suite subpanel, a generator transfer switch installation, a heat pump circuit or an EMT backbone in a commercial unit. From Gatineau to Saskatoon to Moncton, electricians, maintenance departments and experienced renovators keep a bag of 1 in locknuts on the truck so the job never waits on a missing part. Add a bag to your next order and keep your larger connections locked tight.

Built for larger raceways
The ED-LNS-S100 is a 1 in steel locknut sold in a bag of 10 for residential and commercial projects. It completes every 1 in connector or conduit fitting: slip the fitting through the knockout, thread the locknut onto its end inside the box, then tighten it against the wall. The fitting is then clamped firmly to the enclosure, square and immobile, holding the conduit or cable exactly where it enters. On larger sizes like this one, that grip matters even more, because the raceway attached to the fitting is heavier and stiffer.

Compatible fittings and enclosures
The rule is simple: a 1 in locknut goes with a 1 in fitting. That includes EMT set-screw and compression connectors, 1 in cable connectors, flexible metal conduit and liquid-tight connectors, threaded rigid conduit and similar threaded hardware. You will find 1 in knockouts on load centres and subpanels, disconnect switches, splitters and wireways, larger junction and pull boxes, and on many mechanical and commercial equipment enclosures. A bag of spares covers the fittings that arrive without a locknut, and the one that inevitably rolls under the panel.

Installation tips
Turn the power off before opening any enclosure. Open the 1 in knockout, remove any burrs, and push the fitting through from the outside. Thread the steel locknut on by hand from inside, then tighten it firmly against the wall; on a size like this, a locknut wrench or large pliers make it easier to get a solid seat. Make sure the fitting cannot rotate before pulling the conductors, and have the installation done or verified by a licensed electrician, according to the electrical code in force in your province.

Examples on the job
An electrician running 1 in EMT along the ceiling of a commercial unit to a new panel, a contractor feeding the subpanel of a detached garage, a maintenance team replacing a damaged liquid-tight fitting on a rooftop equipment disconnect: each of these jobs relies on a 1 in locknut to keep the connection solid. With a full bag in the van, the right size is always within reach. The manufacturer's PDF document is available in the Documentation tab for reference.
