A locknut for main feeders and large runs
The ED-LNS-S125 is a 1-1/4 in steel locknut sold in a bag of 4 for residential and commercial projects. It does for large conduit what smaller locknuts do for branch circuits: once the fitting passes through the knockout, the locknut threads onto its end inside the enclosure and is tightened against the wall, clamping the fitting securely. With a large raceway attached, a firmly seated fitting is essential to keep the conduit aligned and supported where it enters the panel or box.
What it fits
Use it with 1-1/4 in fittings only: EMT set-screw and compression connectors, 1-1/4 in cable connectors, flexible metal conduit and liquid-tight connectors, threaded rigid conduit and other threaded hardware of the same trade size. Typical enclosures with 1-1/4 in knockouts include load centres and distribution panels, disconnect switches, splitters and wireways, large junction and pull boxes, and commercial equipment. Connectors of this size often arrive with a locknut, yet one lost or cross-threaded nut can stall a whole panel installation; a bag of 4 on the shelf is simple insurance against that.
Installation advice
Shut off the power at the source before opening any panel. Open the 1-1/4 in knockout, remove the burrs and insert the fitting from the outside. Start the steel locknut by hand from inside the enclosure, making sure it goes on straight, since larger threads are easier to cross. Then tighten it firmly against the wall with a locknut wrench or large pliers until the fitting is solid and cannot rotate. Work on panels and feeders should be carried out by a licensed electrician and inspected according to the rules of your province.

Typical jobs
An electrician replacing an old fuse panel and reconnecting the feeder conduit, a contractor bringing a new feeder into a detached workshop, a facilities team adding a disconnect for a large commercial unit on the roof of a strip mall: each of these projects depends on 1-1/4 in locknuts to keep the biggest fittings on the job firmly attached. Keeping a bag in the truck means the panel goes back into service without a last-minute parts run. The manufacturer's PDF document is available in the Documentation tab for reference.
