The SKYE Select trim is made of durable dead-front plastic paired with a magnetic steel ring. There are no screws, clips or torsion springs to fight with: you present the trim to the face of a compatible 4" SKYE fixture and the magnets do the rest. That magnetic mount is what makes this 4" square trim so practical for renovations and model suites — you can swap a black baffle for a specular or gold one later, or pull the trim off for cleaning and re-seat it in a second, without disturbing the housing, the driver or the ceiling finish.

Dead-front design and light quality
"Dead front" means the light source is set back behind a closed, seamless face. The result is a low-glare downlight look: you see the pool of light on the counter or the floor, not the bright LED disc overhead.
