The LumenstarLED COB LED tape (SKU LS-FLI-9D-24-320-27K) is a chip-on-board LED strip light — also called LED tape light, tape lighting or LED ribbon — that throws one clean, continuous line of warm light instead of a row of visible dots. This is a 24V DC low-voltage tape drawing just 1.5W/ft (5W/M) and delivering 168 lumens per foot (550 lumens per metre), with a 120° beam angle that fills a channel edge to edge. The Single Color 5W COBFlex LED Strip uses chip-on-board technology: instead of spacing individual SMD diodes along the circuit, hundreds of tiny chips are mounted directly on the board and covered by a phosphor layer, giving 320 LEDs per metre (97 LEDs per foot) of uninterrupted emission. The result is a true light line with no shadowing or scalloping, and a 120° beam angle that spreads evenly across a diffuser. Wiring, dimming and installation
Being a 24V DC low-voltage tape, it needs a Class 2 driver sized for the run you are powering; dimming is achieved with compatible low-voltage dimming power supplies, giving smooth control for mood settings in living rooms, bedrooms, restaurants and hotel suites. Cut only on the marked 5/8" (16 mm) increments, then rejoin sections with the solderless COB accessories listed on the spec sheet: LS-SC1-COB seamless strip-to-strip, LS-SC2-COB with a 24" wire lead, LS-SC2-COB-20 with a 20' (6.1 m) lead, LS-SC3-COB with a 12" lead in the middle, LS-SC4-COB L-connector for corners, and LS-BK-SC2-COB wire-to-strip (13 × 11 × 6 mm). The pre-attached double-sided 3M tape holds the strip while you work, and the 24" (60 cm) leads on both ends make feeding power into a cabinet or ceiling cove much easier.
