Built for dot-free light
Traditional SMD strips space individual diodes along a board, which is why you see scallops and hot spots through a diffuser. The COB construction of this tape places the chips on a continuous board at 146 LEDs/ft (480 LEDs/M) and covers them with a uniform phosphor layer, producing continuous, dot-free output with excellent colour consistency. At 1" (25mm) wide and only 5/64" (1.8mm) thick, the flexible board slips into tight millwork reveals, shallow coves and cabinet undersides, and the factory-applied double-sided 3M tape on the back makes the mechanical install quick — peel, press, done.

Wiring, dimming and installation
This tape runs on 12V DC, a safe low voltage for close-proximity work inside cabinetry, display cases and furniture. Size your power supply to the total wattage of the run at 3W/ft (10W/M) and add headroom; for dimmable LED strip lights, use a compatible low-voltage dimming power supply, since the dimming happens at the driver. Cut only on the marked 1" (25mm) increments, and use the COB solderless connectors from the same family — LS-SC1-COB seamless strip-to-strip, LS-SC2-COB with a 24" wire lead, LS-SC2-COB-20 with a 20' (6.1m) lead, LS-SC3-COB with connectors on both ends, LS-SC4-COB for corners and LS-BK-SC2-COB wire-to-strip (13 × 11 × 6mm). The 24" (60cm) leads on both ends of the roll mean you can feed power from either side. Note that some aluminum profiles are listed as all-connector compatible while others require a production lead or solder, so plan your terminations before you cut.
