Wiring, dimming and installation

The 12" (30cm) leads on both ends mean you can enter from whichever side your junction box sits on, or continue a second run where the layout demands it. Cut only at the marked cut points, keep the tape on a heat-dissipating aluminum profile for the longest life, and avoid trapping it inside sealed wood boxes.
