Built on the proven 3528 SMD platform
The 3528 chip format has been the workhorse of the LED tape light world for years, and for good reason: it is compact, runs cool relative to its output, and delivers very consistent colour from reel to reel. Here it is populated at 60 LEDs per metre on a flexible printed circuit board measuring W8 x H1.5mm (W5/16 x L1/16"). That narrow, ultra-thin profile is what lets this LED strip disappear into a cove, a cabinet reveal, a stair nose or a slim aluminum extrusion. The PCB flexes around curves and inside corners, so custom shapes, rounded bars, display plinths and vehicle interiors are all fair game.
True red light, not filtered white
The red output comes directly from the LED die rather than from a coloured lens or phosphor filter, which means a deep, saturated red that holds its tone instead of shifting or bleaching out as the strip ages. Light output is 475/M (145/FT) with a 120° beam degree, giving broad, even coverage with no harsh hotspots between diodes. CRI is greater than 90, so objects and surfaces lit by this red LED tape read cleanly — a real advantage for retail displays, bar backs and photography or streaming backdrops where the camera is unforgiving.

Wiring, dimming and installation
This is a low-voltage product: it must be fed from a 12V DC power supply sized for your total run, never wired directly to line voltage. Dimming is supported, so you can dial brightness up for task moments and down for ambience. Cut only on the marked 2" (50mm) increments, then rejoin sections with 3528 solderless connectors for corners, gaps and jumps between cabinets — no iron required. Surfaces should be clean, dry and smooth before you press the double-sided 3M tape down; degreasing a cabinet underside or a painted cove first makes the difference between a strip that stays put for years and one that sags in a season. On long continuous runs, or anywhere the tape is visible, an aluminum LED channel with a diffuser both hides the diodes and pulls heat away from the PCB.
Where it earns its keep — and the paperwork
Think restaurant and lounge coves, nightclub edges, hotel corridors, retail shelving and merchandising cases, arcade and gaming rooms, home theatre step lighting, basement bars, signage halos, Halloween and seasonal displays, and custom automotive or marine interiors. The c UL us Listed mark means the product has been independently tested to recognized North American electrical safety standards — something specifiers, inspectors and insurers across Canada expect to see on commercial jobs — and the 5-year warranty backs it up.
