Give your LED surface discus light a finished, custom look with the TUROLIGHT HS/VERS 5" matte white/matte white recessed trim. This is the decorative ring — the trim, the collar, the accent frame people also call a recessed trim ring or pot light trim — that snaps onto the 5" version of the HS/VERS Surface Discus fixture to change its personality in seconds. Same light, new face: a clean, monochrome matte white edge that blends into a white ceiling or quietly outlines the fixture, depending on how you light it. It's the easy way to match a whole home, a condo unit, a reception area or a rental property to one consistent look without changing a single wire.

This trim is sized for the 5" HS/VERS platform, with a maximum outside diameter of 5.38" and a height of 1.39" (ordering code 3660455, SKU HS/VERS/5/WH/WH), so the proportions stay exactly as the designer intended. The host 5" fixture it dresses is the RGD-HS/VERS/5/11W/MK5/WH/D: 11 W, 120 V, 700 lumens, 5 selectable colour temperatures (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K), CRI ≥80, a wide 120° beam angle, TRIAC dimmable down to 5%, damp location rated, cETL listed, with an L70 rating at 50,000 hours and a 5-year limited warranty. The fixture's PC housing carries a white finish, so a matte white trim reads as one continuous piece.

Matte white is the safe, timeless choice for hallways, bedrooms, kitchens, basements, laundry rooms, stairwells, closets and covered entries, and it disappears beautifully on the painted drywall ceilings found in most Canadian homes and condos. Contractors love it for multi-unit work: one trim, one look, unit after unit. Want to mix finishes by room? The same style is offered in other sizes and colours, like the HS/VERS 12" matte white/matte white recessed trim, the HS/VERS 12" matte white/gold recessed trim or the bolder HS/VERS 12" matt black/matt black recessed trim. Pick your finish and finish the ceiling properly.

A decorative trim, not a light on its own
The HS/VERS/5/WH/WH is an accessory: a decorative trim ring designed for the 5" TUROLIGHT LED Surface Discus (RGD-HS/VERS family). It does not light on its own and it does not replace the fixture — it dresses it. Because the HS/VERS platform was built around interchangeable trims, you can specify one fixture across an entire project and then vary the finish room by room or client by client. Matte white on matte white gives the most discreet result: the ring reads as an extension of the fixture's white PC housing, with a soft, non-reflective surface that doesn't fight with painted ceilings or catch glare from a window.

Sizing and fit
Trims are matched to fixture diameter, so the 5" trim belongs on the 5" discus and nowhere else. This one measures a maximum outside diameter of 5.38" with a maximum overall height of 1.39", giving a slightly raised, framed profile rather than a flat ring. The companion sizes follow the same logic: 7" (7.15"), 9" (8.94") and 12" (11.87") in the same matte white/matte white style, plus cylindrical and canopy variants for a deeper, more sculptural look. Order by size first, finish second, and the trim lines up cleanly every time.

The fixture it dresses
The 5" host fixture, RGD-HS/VERS/5/11W/MK5/WH/D, draws 11 W at 120 V and delivers 700 initial lumens with a 120° beam angle — a wide, even wash that suits low and standard ceilings. Its MK5 5CCT selectable switch covers 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and 5000K, so you can warm up a bedroom and cool down a laundry room using the exact same fixture and the exact same trim. CRI ≥80 keeps skin tones and paint colours believable, and TRIAC dimming down to 5% lets the room drop to a soft glow in the evening. The fixture fits all types of J-box, is damp location rated, cETL listed, and rated L70 at 50,000 hours within an operating range of -10˚C to +45˚C, backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

Where it works and what's documented
Think corridors and bedrooms in a home renovation, hotel and motel rooms, medical or dental waiting areas, boutique fitting rooms, condo entries, office kitchenettes and covered porches where a damp-rated fixture is welcome. A 5" trim is the right scale for tighter spaces and tight fixture spacing, while the larger diameters anchor living rooms and open areas. Matching or contrasting finishes are available in the same family, including the HS/VERS 12" matte white/matte white cylindrical trim, the HS/VERS 12" matte white/gold canopy trim, the HS/VERS 12" brush nickel trim and the HS/VERS 12" matt black/gold recessed trim. The full technical PDF — with the dimensional drawing, the decorative trim table and the complete ordering guide — is in the Documentation tab, so you can confirm sizes and codes before you order.
