Built like industrial equipmentThe housing is pressure die cast aluminum alloy, with a dedicated control gear box for the driver so heat is drawn away from both the diodes and the electronics. That thermal design is what keeps a
UFO LED high bay stable year after year instead of fading in its second season. The optic is a premium grade PC lens, impact and UV resistant, shaped for even distribution and glare-free viewing when you look up from the floor. The fixture is IP65 rated, NEMA 4X and NSF certified, and rated for an operating temperature range of -20˚C to +50˚C — a real consideration in an unheated Canadian warehouse in January or a hot mezzanine in July.
Light you can set on siteTwo selectors do the work of six SKUs. The wattage selector sets 90W, 120W or 150W, and the CCT selector sets 4000K or 5000K. A neutral 4000K suits commercial spaces, service counters and areas where people spend the day; 5000K reads crisp and bright for inspection, assembly and high-ceiling storage. With efficacy of ≥ 150 lm/W and CRI of ≥80, colours, labels and safety markings stay accurate, and the estimated 54 000 hours of service life means very little time on a lift for maintenance. Compared with the metal halide it replaces, an
LED high bay can cut consumption dramatically for the same visual brightness — and there is no warm-up delay when you flip the switch.

Wiring, mounting and sensor notesThe auto-sensing driver accepts anything from 120 V to 347 V, so the same fixture works on a residential garage circuit or a 347 V commercial service — handy when a single order covers several buildings. Mounting options include the supplied hook for chain or cable, a U bracket for pendant or adjustable mounting, and a linkable mounting bracket for rows. Dimming is 0-10V, and the fixture is compatible with a bi-level microwave sensor. A few sensor cautions from the manufacturer are worth respecting: microwave can penetrate walls or glass thinner than 20cm, so movement in an adjacent corridor may be detected; detection area varies with speed of motion, mounting height and movement volume; do not mount where the luminaire itself can shake (rooftop HVAC, upper floor vibration) or next to large operating machines such as ventilators or ceiling fans, since vibration causes false triggering; microwaves cannot penetrate metal, so a large metal object near the sensor creates a dead zone behind it. Microwave sensors do have the advantage over PIR of working in hot environments, but they remain sensitive to moving branches, curtains and loose packaging.
Applications and documentationThink warehouse aisles and racking, machine shops and welding bays, auto service garages, agricultural buildings, arenas and gyms, distribution docks and retail stockrooms. Space fixtures evenly, keep them clear of shelving tops and beams so the beam spreads freely, and for very high ceilings choose a higher output model rather than crowding units — the
180W-200W-240W LED highbay, its
black finish version and the
240W-270W-300W LED highbay share the same family and let you mix outputs across one building. The complete technical PDF spec sheet is in the Documentation tab for your electrician, and final connection should always be done by a qualified electrician.
