Solid construction made for the outdoorsThis 8'' cylinder sconce is built around an
aluminum base that doubles as a heat sink for the integrated LED module, which is exactly what keeps an outdoor fixture running cool and consistent year after year. A
sealed protective glass lens is included and closes the optical chamber against dust, insects and moisture, and the whole unit is
approved for damp locations — think covered porches, soffits, balcony ceilings, carport walls and recessed entryways. Two finishes are offered, BK-Black and GR-Grey, both chosen to blend with modern siding, brick, stucco and aluminum door frames.
Light quality and beam behaviourThe fixture is a
downlight: all of its output is directed down the wall, producing a clean scallop of light on the surface below and a useful pool of brightness at ground level. With
720 lumens from a
9 W integrated LED at
3000K, the light reads warm white — flattering on wood, brick and stone, and far more welcoming than a cold blue-white at a front door. Because the fixture is
dimmable, you can set a lower ambient level for evenings and bring it back up when you need real visibility on steps and thresholds. The engine uses
DOB (driver-on-board) technology, which integrates the driver directly onto the LED board for a compact, simple assembly.

Installation and electrical notesWiring is standard
120V line voltage, so the fixture connects to a typical outdoor junction box on a switched circuit — no transformer, no low-voltage run to plan. Because the LED is integrated, there is no lamp to source or replace down the road. For dimming, use a wall dimmer compatible with LED loads and keep in mind that a single 9 W fixture is a very small load; grouping several units on the same dimmer usually gives smoother, more stable behaviour. Mount the sconce on a sheltered wall face, at a height that lets the downward beam cover the step or walkway you want lit, and space units evenly along a facade for that clean architectural rhythm.
Where it works and what pairs with itHomeowners use it flanking a front door, along a garage wall, over a back deck, at a garden gate or above a house number; businesses use it on entrance walls, along corridors of overhead doors, on signage walls and on multi-unit residential facades where a discreet, uniform look is required. It sits in the same family as the
10'' outdoor LED wall light fixture (bidirectional), the
14'' outdoor LED wall light fixture (bidirectional) and the
18'' outdoor LED wall light fixture (bidirectional) when you want an up-and-down wash, while the
Exil outdoor LED wall light fixture offers a different decorative shape for the same kind of project. The full
