SORA 8W SPOTLIGHT - LCTL-SORA-BK-30K

A cylinder with purpose
SORA is an aluminum designer track fixture with an 8 watt LED module that provides a directional light source for specific aiming. The smooth cylindrical body is aesthetically pleasing from every angle, and the black finish of this model (SKU LCTL-SORA-BK-30K) gives it a bold, modern presence on a dark ceiling or a striking contrast on a light one. A colour matching aluminum heat sink is built into the body to provide maximum heat dissipation, which keeps the LED engine running cool and steady.

Balanced 3000 K light, true colours
With up to 611 lumens and up to 76 lumens per watt, the 8W LED engine delivers uniform intensity without wasting energy. The 3000 K colour temperature is a warm white with a slightly cleaner edge than 2700 K, a great all-rounder: welcoming in a living room, clear enough in a kitchen, flattering in a boutique. The CRI of 90 keeps colours rich and natural. The 38° beam spread is designed for optimal light coverage when highlighting a painting, a product shelf or a feature wall, and the spec sheet includes photometric data for the 3000 K, 38° version.

Controls and installation
The head adjusts up to 90° tilt and 358° rotation to spotlight in multiple directions, then assures a secure lock on the angle position. It is 100% to 10% dimmable when used with TRIAC dimming controls (TRIAC/ELV technology); compatible dimmers should be confirmed with the factory. Electrical details: 120V primary voltage, 0.99 power factor, THD under 20%, cETLus listed, LM80 confirmed on the spec sheet. It is approved for dry, indoor locations and provided with an A-Line connector, so check the connector against your track, cut the power at the breaker before adding a head, and trust a licensed electrician with the track and its power feed.

Ideas for your projects
Use three or four SORA track heads over a Montréal kitchen island, a row along a Halifax gallery wall, or a cluster aimed at the new collection in a Saskatoon boutique. In an office, they bring focus to a reception desk or a feature wall; at home, they reveal the texture of brick, stone or wood. For a white ceiling, the same head exists as the SORA 8W spotlight in white, 2700 K and in white 3000 K. Find the spec sheet, with photometry, drawing and ordering guide, in the Documentation tab.
