Protection where it counts
Large conduits usually carry the heaviest conductors on a job, and those are the ones that fight back during a pull. As they bend around the end of a conduit fitting, the insulation presses against the edge with real force, and any sharp spot can scrape or cut the jacket. The insulating bushing ED-PBT-200 puts a smooth, non-metallic surface on that edge, so the conductors slide into the enclosure instead of grinding against metal. A few seconds of installation can spare you a ground fault hunt behind a finished wall months later.
How to install it
Start by securing your 2" connector or fitting in the knockout of the box, panel or enclosure. Next, place the bushing on the end of the fitting on the inside, before any conductor is pulled. Feed your cables using a pulling lubricant on long runs or tight bends, then confirm the bushing is still seated once the pull is complete. With a bag of 2, you can equip both ends of the same run or keep one in reserve for the next connection. Follow the Canadian Electrical Code and your local inspection authority for conductor protection at conduit entries.
Choosing the right size
This model is a 2" plastic bushing, so it goes with 2" conduit connectors and fittings. Look at the size marked on your connector before ordering: a bushing only does its job when it matches the fitting it sits on. When several large conduits enter the same panel, fitting each connector with its own bushing keeps the work neat and consistent, something inspectors and clients both notice. It fits right into the ARANI lineup of boxes, connectors and fittings, so you can keep a single brand from the service entrance to the last junction box on the job.

Real-world uses and documentation
Think of a service entrance upgrade in an older home, a feeder to a detached garage or a workshop, a new main panel for a dental office, or conduit runs in a warehouse, an arena or a school gym. Each time a 2" run lands in an enclosure, this bushing finishes the job properly and gives the next electrician who opens the box a clean, professional installation to work with. The ARANI technical PDF for the ED-PBT-200 is posted in the Documentation tab of this page, handy for your job files, submittals and material lists.
