Built for the outdoors, not just tolerated by it
This LumenstarLED tape uses the compact 3528 SMD LED format on a flexible printed circuit board, protected to IP67 so rain, snowmelt, sprinkler spray and humidity are part of the job description. The profile is remarkably slim at W10 x H3mm (W25/64 x H1/8"), which lets it hide inside a soffit lip, under a deck rail cap, behind a sign face or in an aluminum extrusion without bulking up the detail. Mounting clips secure the run along straight lines and around gentle curves, keeping the tape flat and tidy instead of relying on adhesive alone in temperature-swinging Canadian conditions.
Light quality you can actually see
With 60 LEDs per metre and a 120° beam degree, the diodes blend into a continuous line of light rather than a row of visible dots — especially when mounted in a channel with a diffuser. Output is 492 lumens per metre (145 lumens per foot), enough for genuine accent and pathway illumination without glare. The 3000K warm white temperature is the classic residential and hospitality choice: it warms up cedar, stone and brick and feels inviting from the street. The CRI +90 rating is the quiet hero here, rendering foliage greens, wood grain and printed signage colours faithfully at night, which is exactly where cheaper outdoor tapes fall flat.

Wiring, power and dimming
This is a 24V DC constant-voltage product, so it needs a low-voltage driver or power supply rated for the total load of your run — calculate 5W/M (1.5W/FT) across the length you actually install, then leave headroom on the driver. The 24V architecture is the reason long architectural runs stay consistent from the first foot to the last, with less of the brightness fade that plagues 12V systems. Because the tape is dimmable, you can put it on a compatible low-voltage dimming control to soften a patio at night or dial back an illuminated sign after closing. Keep drivers, connections and splices in suitable enclosures, feed longer installations from both ends or in parallel branches, and respect the cut marks printed on the tape. The c UL us Listing keeps the specification clean for permitted residential and commercial work in Canada.
Where it earns its keep — and the paperwork
Think soffit and fascia outlines that draw a crisp line on a house at dusk, deck and stair-riser lighting that makes evening entertaining safe, pergola and gazebo perimeters, retaining wall and planter-bed grazing, garage door surrounds, and covered walkways. On the commercial side it excels behind channel-letter and light-box outdoor signs, along restaurant patios and rooftop terraces, at hotel and condo entrances, and in car dealership canopies. One 10M (33') roll of LS-FLO-1C-24-60-3K covers a surprising amount of façade, and multiple rolls can be run in parallel from a properly sized supply for larger developments.
