Slim, solid and complete
The RD15 is a complete LED puck light, ready to install: every unit includes the puck itself, a matching surface mount bezel and a 36 in (90 cm) wire lead, so you are covered for either mounting method. Its all-metal, ultra-thin aluminum housing is built for strength, and the brushed chrome face reads like fine cabinet hardware rather than a plastic gadget. The fixture is RoHS compliant and relies on power LED technology for crisp, efficient light from a very small footprint.
Warm, accurate light for real tasks
Three 1 W power LEDs combine for 3 W and 290 lumens, plenty for a prep zone, a sink or a coffee station without the glare of a bare bulb. The warm white 3000K colour temperature sits between candlelight and daylight: bright enough for chopping vegetables and reading recipes, gentle enough to leave on as ambient light all evening. With a CRI above 85, tomatoes look red, quartz looks like quartz and oak keeps its honey tones. Thanks to the 120° beam, neighbouring pucks blend into an even band of kitchen lighting, and because the RD15 is dimmable, it can drop to a soft glow for late-night snacks.
Surface or recessed installation
For the quickest job, fix the matching bezel under the cabinet and you get surface mount lighting with no cut-out required. For a built-in look, cut a Ø 2-1/2 in (63.5 mm) opening and mount the puck flush as a recessed puck light. The RD15 runs on 12 V DC, so it connects to a 12 V DC LED power supply rather than directly to household current: add up the wattage of every puck on the run, then add 10% to find the minimum power supply rating, as the buying guide recommends. Pick a dimmable supply when you want brightness control.
