A complete fixture that blends in
The white RD15 arrives as a finished LED puck light, designed to disappear into light-coloured cabinetry: in the box you will find the puck, a matching bezel for surface mount lighting and a 90 cm (36 in) lead. Made of ultra-thin aluminum, the all-metal housing is built for strength. It is RoHS compliant, and its power LEDs pack real output into a very small disc while using a fraction of the energy of the old halogen pucks many kitchens still have.
Light quality for white spaces
White surfaces bounce light around, so a well-placed puck goes a long way. With 290 lumens and a 120° beam, each RD15 covers a generous patch of counter or shelf, and spacing several along the underside of the uppers gives a smooth, continuous wash. The 3000K warm white colour balances bright white doors and quartz with a touch of warmth, while a CRI above 85 keeps wood floors, fruit bowls and fabrics looking natural. Paired with a dimmable 12 V DC supply, it dims down to a calm LED night light in the kitchen or a hallway closet.
Surface or flush: two ways to install
Use the bezel to surface mount it when you cannot or would rather not cut into the cabinet bottom, or drill a hole of Ø 2-1/2 in (63.5 mm) in new cabinets and shelving for a flush, built-in finish. Like all low voltage lighting, the RD15 needs a power supply (driver) with a 12 V DC output between it and your household circuit. To size that supply, multiply the watts of one puck by the number of pucks and add 10%, following the buying guide, then choose a dimmable model to adjust the brightness of your dimmable LED puck lights.
Where white works best
Light the inside of a white china cabinet, a pantry where labels need to be readable, a laundry room counter, a linen closet, a child's bookshelf or a bright retail display. White pucks are a classic choice for pantry lighting and closet lighting because they look tidy even when the doors are open, and under open shelving they also show off the dishes on display. For layout planning, check the Documentation tab, which holds the RD15 data sheet plus a puck light buying guide with the power supply sizing method.
