Built for the sockets halogen used to own
The G9 base is a two-pin loop base designed for compact decorative lamps, and this LUMIFARO G9 LED bulb keeps that exact footprint so it drops straight into existing fixtures. At 50 mm tall and 16 mm in diameter, the capsule disappears inside small glass shades, crystal drops and narrow sconce arms. Unlike a halogen capsule, it runs far cooler, which is gentler on delicate shades, plastic sockets and painted fixture arms — one of the main reasons people relamp decorative fixtures with LED in the first place.
Light quality you can actually live with
Output is 400 lumens from only 4.5 watts, the visual equivalent of a 50W halogen capsule, so a multi-arm chandelier stays bright while the total load drops dramatically. The 3000K colour temperature is a warm white that flatters wood floors, warm paint, brass and bronze finishes, and the CRI of 80 keeps colours honest — useful at a vanity mirror, over a dining table or in a retail display. The luminous intensity distribution on the spec sheet shows an average beam angle of 322.0°, meaning the capsule throws light broadly all around itself rather than in a narrow cone, exactly what you want inside a diffusing shade or an open crystal fixture.

Dimming and installation notes
These dimmable LED bulbs work with most dimmers, and dimmers are generally rated for a maximum of 150 watts of LED load. The manufacturer strongly recommends not exceeding 80% of that capacity to avoid flicker when the dimmer is at its lowest setting. Practically speaking, load the circuit conservatively and keep every bulb on the same dimmer identical in wattage and colour temperature — mixing brands or leftover halogen capsules on one circuit is the number one cause of buzzing and uneven dimming. Always cut power at the breaker before relamping, let old halogen capsules cool completely, and handle the new capsule by its base rather than the body. Because the bulb is rated at 120 volts, confirm your fixture is line voltage and not a low-voltage G4-style socket before installing.
Real-world applications and documentation
Typical projects include entry and dining chandeliers, crystal pendants over an island, bathroom vanity sconces flanking a mirror, hallway and stairwell wall lights, picture lights, display cabinets and decorative floor lamps in living rooms and condo lobbies. On the commercial side, think restaurant wall sconces, boutique fitting-room lighting, salon mirrors, café pendants and hotel corridor fixtures where warm 3000K light sets the mood and low wattage keeps operating costs and heat down.
