Built for real outdoor dutyThe LED 8033E-G7 platform was engineered for the hardest place a retrofit lamp can live: sealed inside a post top globe, in the weather, on a vibrating pole. Its drivers are potted and pre-tested, burnt in three times prior to shipping, and protected against vibration and moisture. The lamp body measures 7.8" tall by 3.4" in diameter, a compact envelope that tucks into most acorn, lantern and dome-style
post top fixtures without fouling the globe or the refractor. It is expertly engineered to work efficiently in enclosed fixtures and damp environments, and it is protected against insects and dust — the two things that quietly kill open HID retrofits.
Light quality and thermal managementAt
3000K, this lamp produces a warm white that flatters brick, stone and landscaping and keeps a heritage streetscape feeling like a heritage streetscape instead of a parking garage. With
80+ CRI, faces, signage and vehicle colours read accurately at night, which matters for security cameras as much as for comfort. Output is
5140 lumens from only
35W, in place of a
175W HID lamp. Holding that output over time is the job of the Advanced Active Cooling system: an energetic cooling fan paired with dynamic temperature control that supports a longer, brighter life and underpins the
50,000-hour L70 rated life.
Electrical, dimming and installationThis SKU is the
347V option built for Canadian services, and it also works on 208V and 240V. Installation is genuinely lamp-simple: de-energize the fixture, remove the old HID lamp, bypass or remove the ballast as required by the fixture and local code, then thread the retrofit into the existing
E26 medium base socket. Multi-directional mounting means you can install base down, base up or base sideways without affecting performance, so odd legacy sockets are no obstacle. A switch on the side of the lamp selects "LO" to dim to 50% (stepped dimming with other wired control communication by the onboard switch). Dual stage MOV protection with an integrated 6kA surge rating guards against line transients, and the LED driver is USA designed and specified. Operating temperature range is -40°F to 122°F.

Applications, alternatives and documentationThink municipal main streets and village cores, park and riverwalk pathways, school and campus walkways, church and strip mall parking lots, hotel entrances, cemeteries, condo and apartment grounds — every place with good poles and bad lamps. Crews typically relamp a whole street in an evening because nothing is cut, drilled or rewired. If your service is standard line voltage, choose the
35W post top retrofit E26 3000K 120-277V; for a crisper, whiter look use
35W post top retrofit E26 5000K; for mogul sockets, the
35W post top retrofit EX39 3000K is the same lamp with an EX39 base. Doing the wall packs and shoe boxes on the same site? The
50W shoe box / wall pack retrofit E26 347V keeps the whole property on the same retrofit strategy. Full details, the ordering table and the complete family listing are in the technical PDF (FICHE TECHNIQUE LED 8033) available in the Documentation tab.
