RGBW LANDSCAPE STAKE UPLIGHT, 12V AC/DC, 45°, OUTDOOR RATED

RGBW LANDSCAPE STAKE UPLIGHT, 12V AC/DC, 45°, OUTDOOR RATED

SKU: LS-SGUL-6W-RGBW

Brand: LUMENSTARLED

Turn a plain backyard into something people stop and look at. The LS-SGUL-6W-RGBW is a colour-changing LED landscape light on a ground stake — what most people call a garden spotlight, a stake uplight or simply a pot light for the garden. Part of the Lumenstar LED Lennox spotlight family, it pushes a clean beam up the trunk of a maple, across a stone wall, over a cedar hedge or onto a business sign after dark. Because it runs on low-voltage 12V power, it drops straight into an existing LED landscape lighting run without rewiring your house, which makes it just as friendly for a weekend DIY project as it is for a contractor staking out a full property.

The RGBW LED engine mixes red, green, blue and a dedicated white channel, so you get real colour scenes and clean white light instead of a washed-out approximation — DC operation is available in RGBW colour only. At 6W the fixture draws very little from the transformer, so you can chain several of them on one run, and it is dimmable with compatible low-voltage dimming systems. The 45° beam shipped on this model keeps light on the target and off the neighbour's window. Construction is serious: die-cast aluminum housing with a black powder-coat finish, an adjustable knuckle with up to 90° of vertical rotation, a threaded 1/2 in knuckle, a 40" (100cm) lead wire, and an IP67 wet-location rating with an operating range of -25~+45°C (-4~113°F). Rated lifespan is +50,000 hours and it carries a 3-year warranty. Overall size is compact at 4" (102mm) by 2" (50mm).

It belongs in front gardens, along driveways, under birch and cedar, on entry columns, restaurant patios, small hotel grounds and storefront signage — anywhere a Canadian winter would eat a lesser fixture alive. Since the stake simply pushes into the soil, you can re-aim or relocate it as plantings fill in. Pair it with an RGBW control system such as the Casambi control, 96 watt, 4 channel to run colour scenes from your phone. Plan your layout, stake them in, and light up the yard tonight.

Built for the ground, built for our weather
The Lennox LED Spotlight platform behind this stake uplight starts with a die-cast aluminum housing and a black powder-coat finish, a combination that stands up to sprinklers, snow load and the freeze-thaw cycle that destroys thin-walled garden lights. It is rated IP67 for exterior wet-location use and is specified for an operating temperature range of -25~+45°C (-4~113°F), so it keeps working through a Prairie January and a humid Ontario August alike. The body measures 4" (102mm) by 2" (50mm), low enough to disappear into a garden bed by day, and the fixture ships with its ground stake so you can plant it exactly where the composition needs it.

Light quality and RGBW colour mixing
Inside is an integrated COB LED light engine with a CRI of >85, which means foliage, brick and cedar siding read with their true colour rather than looking flat. The RGBW configuration uses a 5-wire system and adds a dedicated white diode beside the red, green and blue emitters, so a warm white wash and a saturated blue or green scene both come from the same fixture — no muddy pseudo-white from mixing primaries. This version carries the 45° beam distribution for a wider wash on canopies, walls and hedges, and it is dimmable with compatible low-voltage dimming systems. Rated life is +50,000 hours.

Wiring, power and control
Installation follows standard low-voltage landscape practice: run the fixtures back to a 12V power supply sized for the total load, keeping the combined wattage comfortably under the supply's maximum output. The 40" (100cm) lead wire gives you room to reach the main run, and outdoor-rated connections are what keep a system alive season after season. For colour control, this RGBW fixture works with RGBW control gear, including handheld and wall-mount RF remotes, RF receivers and DMX512 decoding for low-voltage RGB and RGBW LED lights. For app-based scenes and scheduling across a whole property, the Casambi 4 channel PWM controller runs an intelligent mesh network with a customizable interface and a downloadable smart device app. The threaded 1/2 in knuckle also accepts an optional wall-mount plate if you would rather bolt the light engine to a wall, post or soffit than stake it.

Where to use it, and what to read next
Think tree and plant uplighting, landscape and garden lighting, and architectural accent or feature illumination: a pair grazing a fieldstone chimney, four along a row of cedars, one washing a house number or a storefront sign, a run of colour along a patio for a summer event or a red-and-green scene for the holidays. Landscapers like that a stake can be pulled and re-aimed in seconds as beds mature; homeowners like that the same fixture handles both everyday warm white and party colour.
