Built to last where you cannot reach it
The RD10 is designed for the places nobody wants to open twice: inside cabinetry, behind trim, inside sealed display cases. Its metal housing acts as a heat sink, drawing thermal energy away from the LED chip instead of trapping it the way a plastic body does. Better thermal management means the diode stays within its optimal operating range, which directly translates into a longer operational life, less maintenance and sustained lumen output over time. For built-in and hard-to-access installations, that construction detail is worth far more than it looks on paper. The low-profile round form factor also keeps the module invisible in minimalist millwork and modern fixture designs.
Light quality you can actually see
At 4000K, this LED light engine sits in the sweet spot between cozy and crisp — neutral enough to keep whites looking white on a countertop, gentle enough that a kitchen or hotel corridor still feels welcoming. The RD10 produces a consistent, flicker-free output that reduces eye fatigue during long tasks and makes merchandise, food and finishes present honestly. That is why this colour temperature dominates residential kitchens, retail displays, hospitality interiors and accent lighting, and why so many shoppers specifically search for a 4000k fixture rather than a warmer or cooler one.

Electrical and installation notes
Because the RD10 operates at 12V DC, it must be fed by a low-voltage LED driver or transformer rather than wired directly to mains. Add up the wattage of every module on the circuit and choose a power supply with comfortable headroom — running a driver near its limit shortens everyone's day. Keep low-voltage runs reasonably short and use adequate conductor gauge to avoid voltage drop, which shows up as dimmer modules at the far end of a long cabinet run. Mount the metal body against a surface that lets it breathe and shed heat, plan your cut-outs before the cabinet doors go on, and leave a service loop so a future swap takes minutes. If the project calls for dimming, confirm that your driver and control are compatible as a system before you close up the millwork.
Applications and documentation
Think kitchen upper cabinets and islands, vanity and bathroom cabinet lighting, pantry and closet interiors, stair risers and step lights, toe-kick washes, bar backs, reception desks, bakery and jewellery display cases, museum-style niches and custom architectural coves. Contractors appreciate that one compact component covers residential renovations and small commercial retrofits alike, so a single part number can carry a whole job. No spec sheet, IES file or installation video is currently posted for this model; if additional documentation becomes available, it will appear in the Documentation tab of this page. In the meantime, our team is happy to help you size a driver and lay out your under-cabinet LED run.
