What it is and what it doesThe
MOUNTING BRACKET #80 is an installation accessory for LED strip systems — the mechanical link between your mounting surface and the #80 series aluminum profile. It ships as a single piece (each), which is exactly how installers want to buy it: one bracket at a time, in the count the job calls for. In practice it replaces double-sided tape and improvised screws with a repeatable method, so every profile in a project is held the same way, at the same height, in the same line.
Installation, step by stepThe sequence is simple. Mark your line, position the brackets along the run, fasten them to the substrate with the appropriate anchors for that surface (wood, drywall with anchors, metal stud, cabinet carcass), then engage the profile into the brackets and check the alignment end to end. Because the profile clips into the
LED channel bracket rather than being drilled through, the face of the extrusion stays clean and the diffuser can still be slid in and out. More brackets means less sag: add them wherever the run is long, overhead, or under vibration such as in a garage or a workshop. And because it's a mechanical hold, the profile can be taken down later for maintenance and put right back.
Where it earns its keepThink
under-cabinet lighting in a kitchen, a lit toe-kick, closet and pantry shelving, a basement stair with a light line under the nosing, a home office desk, or a workbench that finally gets shadow-free task light. On the commercial side: retail shelving and display cases, a reception desk front, a cove detail in a corridor, a restaurant bar, a clinic waiting room. In Canadian homes and businesses where LED tape has replaced fluorescent strip light, a proper
installation bracket is what keeps the result looking built-in instead of stuck-on years down the road.
Compatibility and matching partsThis bracket is made for the
#80 series profile — always match the bracket to the profile series, since each extrusion shape has its own hold. If your project mixes profiles, the same family covers them: the
Phantom mounting bracket #81, the
standard installation bracket series #84 #85 #86, the
swivel installation bracket series #85 when the profile needs to be aimed, and the
installation bracket series #9400. A quick count before you order saves a second trip: one bracket near each end, plus intermediates along the span.
Ordering and documentationOrder by SKU
LCBRACK-STAND-80, sold each, and add the quantity your run requires. No datasheet or IES file applies to a mechanical accessory like this one, so the important detail is simply the series match: #80 profile, #80 bracket. Buy a few extras — brackets are the part everyone underestimates on site, and having them on hand keeps an
LED strip installation moving.
