Built to curve, built to last
The strength of this LumenstarLED tape is in the name: CURVED FLEX. The 2835 SMD format sits on a narrow, low-profile circuit measuring W6.5 x H1.5 mm (W1/4 x H1/16"), which lets the strip bend along arcs, radius cabinetry and cove returns without cracking the copper or losing continuity between LED segments. The back is pre-applied with double-sided 3M tape, so on clean, dry aluminium, wood or drywall the roll presses straight into place. Cut lines are marked at regular intervals, and the tape is compatible with 3528 solderless connectors — handy when you want to jump a corner or split a run without breaking out the soldering iron.
Light quality you can see
Density is what separates a good LED tape light from a disappointing one. At 72 LEDs per metre with a 120° beam degree, the blue output blends into a continuous line rather than a string of visible dots, which matters most when the tape is seen directly or reflected off glass, glossy tile or a bar top. The CRI of greater than 90 means the surfaces and finishes near the strip keep their true character, and the 260 lumens per foot give this blue LED strip enough punch to read clearly even in a room with other lighting on. Full dimming support lets you drop it to a quiet accent glow for evenings and bring it back up for parties, gaming sessions or a retail display reset.

Wiring and installation notes
Because the system is 12V DC, you need a low-voltage driver or power supply sized for the load: the full 5M (16.4') roll draws 7.2W per metre, so add up the metres you actually install and choose a supply with comfortable headroom. The 12" (30 cm) lead on both ends makes it easy to feed power from either side, or to run a continuous circuit around a corner. For dimming, wire a compatible 12V dimmer or controller between the supply and the tape rather than on the line side. Keep the surface clean before sticking the tape down, avoid sharp folds directly over an LED, and remember the IP64 rating covers dust and water splashing — not immersion, so keep it out of submerged or pooling-water locations.
Where it earns its keep, and the paperwork
This tape shines in bathroom vanity mirrors and niches, kitchen backsplashes and under-cabinet runs, covered porches and three-season rooms, basement home theatres, gaming desks, aquarium hoods, hotel corridors, nightclub and bar millwork, retail display cases and vehicle or trailer interiors. The -25 to +60°C operating range suits unheated garages, cottages and covered outdoor areas across Canada, and the c UL us Listed mark plus the 5-year warranty give contractors something solid to hand the client.
