What this trim isThe
GU10 TRIM - ROUND/SHOWER in black is a finishing component, not a complete fixture. It is the round trim ring and lens assembly that mounts to a compatible GU10 ceiling housing and gives the
recessed light its visible face. The round profile reads clean in a drywall or plaster ceiling, and the shower-style lens closes the aperture instead of leaving the lamp exposed. Because the lamp itself is a separate, user-replaceable
GU10 LED bulb, this trim is the flexible choice for anyone who wants to control beam angle, output and white tone lamp by lamp — and change it years from now without cutting into the ceiling.
Finish and light qualityThe black finish does two jobs at once. Visually, it turns the aperture into a discreet dark circle that disappears against contemporary ceilings and coordinates with black plumbing fixtures, black cabinet hardware and matte black lighting families. Functionally, a dark aperture is far less distracting in the corner of your eye than a bright chrome ring, which is exactly what you want in a bathroom, a bedroom or a media room. The lens in front of the lamp softens the visual hot spot of the bulb, so you see the light on the surfaces rather than the source itself — a real comfort upgrade in tight rooms with low ceilings.

Installation and compatibilityPlan the trim at the same time as the housing: the trim is designed for a matching GU10 ceiling housing, so confirm the housing model and aperture before ordering quantities. On site, the sequence is simple — rough in and wire the housings, close and finish the ceiling, then clip the trims in at the very end so they never see drywall dust or paint overspray. Turn the power off, insert the
GU10 lamp with the usual push-and-twist, and seat the trim so it sits flush against the ceiling. If the lamps will be dimmed, match a dimmable GU10 lamp with a dimmer rated for LED loads and keep the same lamp model across a room so every aperture reads the same. Keep a couple of spare trims in the maintenance closet for commercial sites; swapping a scuffed trim is a two-minute job.
Where it works and what to pair it withThis is a workhorse for bathrooms and ensuites, hallways, walk-in closets, kitchens, basement renos, condo ceilings, hotel corridors, clinics, salons, offices and retail displays. Designers often mix shapes and functions on the same ceiling: fixed round trims for general lighting and aimable trims over a vanity, a niche or a feature wall. For that, look at the
GU10 trim adjustable round and the
GU10 trim adjustable square, both in black. If a room calls for a brighter metal accent, the same round shower trim is offered as the
GU10 trim round/shower LCTRIM-358-RSH-BS and the
GU10 trim round/shower LCTRIM-358-RSH-CH. No spec sheet or IES file is posted for this trim; if your project needs photometrics, base them on the GU10 lamp you select, and check the Documentation tab for any file added later.
