The LumenstarLED LS-G4-2W-COB-3K is a G4 LED bulb — also called a G4 bi-pin bulb, a 12V pin base bulb or simply a low-voltage puck light bulb — built around a single COB (Chip on Board) LED module instead of a cluster of tiny chips. COB construction, built small on purpose
Where a standard G4 replacement scatters several small diodes across a board, this bulb uses 1 COB LED — a single chip-on-board module that behaves like one continuous light source. That matters in tiny fixtures: you get one clean shadow instead of three or four overlapping ones, and no visible pixel pattern through a frosted lens or a path light cap. The body is genuinely small, L28 x W10mm (L1 1/8 x W3/8"), on a standard G4 bi-pin base, so it slides into the same cavity the old halogen capsule occupied. Installation is tool-free: cut power at the transformer, pull the old pin bulb straight out, line up the two pins and push the new one home.

Light quality you can actually see
