Built around COB technologyUnlike older LED wedge bulbs that use a handful of scattered diodes, this lamp uses a
COB (chip-on-board) LED array: many small chips bonded directly onto a single substrate. The practical result is a light source that behaves much more like a solid glowing surface than a cluster of points, which means smoother illumination, fewer hot spots and far less of that speckled look on nearby surfaces. In a dome light, a reading lamp or a small decorative fixture, that evenness is exactly what you want, because the bulb is often visible or reflecting off a close surface. The compact board also keeps the whole assembly short and mechanically solid, which helps it shrug off the vibration found in vehicles, trailers and boats.
Light quality and colourThe
LS-T10-COB-6K is the daylight-white version of the family, at 6000K. That cooler, crisp tone reads as clean and modern, sharpens contrast and is the go-to choice for anywhere visibility matters more than ambience: engine compartments, storage bays, workspaces, licence plate lighting, control panels and instrument areas. If your project calls for a warmer, more relaxed atmosphere — a bunk reading light or cabin lounge, for example — the warm white version of the same lamp is the better pick.

Electrical and installation notesThe dual
12V AC/DC input is the feature that saves installers the most headaches. Low-voltage systems in the field are rarely uniform: one trailer runs straight off a battery bank, the next one off a converter, a landscape or display circuit may run on AC from a small transformer. This bulb accepts either, so you are not sorting bulbs by system type. Installation itself is about as simple as it gets — cut power, pull the old wedge lamp straight out of its socket, push the new one in, restore power. Because the bulb is not dimmable, keep it on a standard on/off circuit and avoid dimmers or rheostats; if a fixture flickers, check the circuit and connections rather than the lamp. Handle the COB surface by the base rather than the emitting face to keep it clean and clear.
Applications, compatibility and documentationTypical jobs include RV and camper ceiling and reading lights, marine cabin and cockpit lamps, cottage and cabin fixtures fed by solar panels, van and truck conversions, automotive dome lights, licence plate lamps and instrument clusters, plus display cases, signage and small indicator fixtures wired at 12V. The T10 wedge base fits standard wedge sockets without adapters or modification, which makes it easy to standardize a whole vehicle or vessel on one lamp. For projects that mix task and ambient zones, pair this daylight version with the
T10 LED COB bulb in 3000K warm white — same format, same 12V AC/DC flexibility, different mood. The
