A compact capsule built for low-voltage work
The LS-G4-9-6K packs 9 individual LEDs into a small G4 capsule body, the same shape and footprint as the halogen bulbs used in puck lights, display cabinets and marine fixtures for decades. Spreading the output over nine emitters rather than one filament gives a smoother, more even wash of light and helps keep operating temperature down — an important detail in enclosed cabinet boxes, shallow puck housings and tight display cases where halogen heat has always been the enemy of finishes, food and delicate merchandise.
Light quality and colour
This version is a 6000K cool white, the daylight end of the white spectrum. It reads as bright, clean and neutral-to-cool, which is exactly what you want over a work surface, a glass display shelf or a garage bench. Whites look white, blues and greys stay true, and printed labels or fine details are easy to read. If your project mixes several fixtures, keep the colour temperature consistent across them so the whole run looks intentional rather than patchy.

Electrical and installation notes
Because this is a 12V DC bulb, it must be fed by a DC source — a battery bank, a DC driver or a DC power supply — not an AC transformer. On boats, RVs, trailers and solar or battery systems, that is already the standard, so the bulb simply drops into the existing circuit. In a home, check what feeds your puck or cabinet fixtures before swapping. Installation itself is about as simple as lighting gets: cut the power, let the old halogen cool, grip the capsule by its body (never the glass), pull it straight out of the two-pin socket, then push the new G4 LED bulb in until the pins seat fully. Handle the LED capsule by the edges and avoid forcing it at an angle so the pins stay straight.
Where it earns its keep
Think kitchen under-cabinet pucks that used to run hot enough to warm the shelf above, a retail showcase where the old halogens washed out product colour, a bookshelf or china cabinet that needed a cleaner white, a boat cabin or camper where every watt drawn from the battery counts, or landscape and deck fixtures running off a low-voltage supply. In multi-fixture jobs, buying a few spares at the same time keeps every socket matched in colour and brightness down the road. Questions about whether your existing fixture is truly 12V DC, or about matching this G4 bi-pin LED to the rest of your project? Our team is happy to walk through it with you before you order.
