Built for output, built to disappearThe SLIMLEDPRO Series was engineered around one idea: give a slim recessed panel the punch of a full-size can light. At only
1-11/16" thick, this 8" round
LED recessed downlight hides in ceilings where a standard housing simply won't fit — dropped ceilings, joist bays crowded with ductwork, basement renovations where every inch of headroom counts. The
driver and heat sink are included in the fixture assembly, so there is no separate can to buy, no housing to nail off, and far less material to carry up the ladder. It's an
integrated LED fixture, meaning the light engine, optic and thermal management are matched from the factory for consistent performance.
Light quality you actually seeThis SKU is factory set at
3500°K, the neutral white so many designers pick for kitchens and workspaces — warmer than office-style 4000K, cleaner than a yellow 2700K. With
2585 lumens from a single 8" aperture and a wide
120° beam angle, light spreads across counters, floors and walls instead of pooling in hot spots, which usually means fewer fixtures per room. The
brushed nickel trim keeps the ceiling looking finished and coordinates with stainless steel, chrome and satin fixtures.

Electrical and installationWired for standard
120V residential and commercial circuits, the fixture ships with its driver and
FT6 plenum rated wire, so it can be used where fire-rated cable is required in plenum spaces. It is
I.C. rated for direct contact with insulation — a real advantage under Canadian attics and in exterior-wall ceilings — and it is
approved for wet location, which opens up covered porches, soffits, bathrooms and shower ceilings. Installation is straightforward enough for a confident homeowner: cut the ceiling opening, make the connections in the junction box, tuck the driver into the cavity and let the spring clips pull the trim tight to the drywall. Being
dimmable, it should be paired with a dimmer suited to LED loads; keep the total connected wattage within the dimmer's LED rating when you gang several units on one circuit.
Applications, matching fixtures and documentationUse the 8" size where you want big coverage from few holes: great rooms, open-concept kitchens, garages and workshops, stairwells, retail sales floors, waiting rooms and corridors. Mix sizes within the same series for a coherent design, and match the colour temperature across the whole project. Other
brushed nickel and colour-temperature versions of the same 8" downlight include
8" SLIMLED Pro 2700K brushed nickel,
8" SLIMLED Pro 3000K brushed nickel and
8" SLIMLED Pro 4000K brushed nickel, plus
8" SLIMLED Pro 3500K white for ceilings where the trim should vanish. The full
