What this sensor doesThe TL-HB/SENSOR/PIR1 is a passive infrared (PIR) sensor that mounts in a lighting fixture and provides multi-level control based on motion and/or daylight contribution. Instead of an all-or-nothing switch, it drives your fixture through several light levels: full output when presence is detected, a dimmed stand-by level during absence, and off after the stand-by period elapses. It is rated for wet and cold locations, which is why it holds up in unheated warehouses, loading docks, covered yards and cold storage where a standard indoor occupancy sensor would give up.
Electrical and dimming detailsThe sensor is powered by a 12V-24V DC supply drawing more than 30mA and outputs a
0-10V dim control signal with a maximum 25mA sinking current. That means it works with LED drivers and dimming ballasts that accept a 0-10 VDC control input — the standard on virtually every commercial
LED high bay and UFO fixture. The 3.5mm single-pin connection keeps installation tidy inside the fixture housing. Note the warm-up behaviour: after the sensor receives input power for the first time, the light stays on for 40 seconds, then goes into dimming and works normally.

Programming, corridor function and daylight harvestingAll control parameters are adjustable through a
wireless configuration tool capable of storing settings, so you can walk a facility and program fixtures one after another from the floor. Any setting changed by remote control is confirmed by the connected LED light switching on/off. The corridor function delivers tri-level control for areas that need a light-change warning before switch-off: with sufficient natural light the fixture does not switch on when presence is detected; with insufficient natural light it switches on automatically; after the hold-time it dims to stand-by level; and it shuts off once the stand-by period ends. The
daylight sensor function adds setpoint-based behaviour — for example 100% on movement, dimming to a stand-by level after the hold-time, and turning off when natural light exceeds the off setpoint even if the space is occupied. Coverage is symmetrical, reaching out to 30' on each side in the published coverage diagram.
Where to use it and what pairs with itThink warehouse aisles, parking garages, mechanical rooms, arenas, workshops, agricultural buildings and retail stockrooms — every space where
high bay lights burn full output over empty floor. For fast field programming and commissioning, pair the sensor with the
PIR1 & Microwave1 highbay sensor controller, which is listed as an applicable model with this sensor. The full technical PDF (TL-HB/Sensor/PIR1 Spec Sheet), including the sensor coverage diagram and the default settings table, is available in the Documentation tab of this page — worth printing for the installer before the fixtures go up.
