Design and construction
The Themis is a wall-mounted heated towel rail built around a series of slim horizontal bars, a layout chosen for one simple reason: more hanging space in less wall. Two bath towels, a robe and a couple of face cloths can share the rack without overlapping, which is exactly what makes the difference between towels that dry and towels that sit damp. The polished chrome finish is bright and reflective, a classic bathroom metal that coordinates naturally with chrome faucets, shower systems, towel rings and mirror hardware. Because the chrome plating resists the moisture and humidity that are normal in a bathroom, the rack keeps its brilliance over years of daily use with nothing more than an occasional wipe with a soft cloth.
How the heat works
This is an electric towel warmer, not a hydronic unit tied to your boiler, so there is no plumbing to run and no water in the loop. The heating system spreads warmth across all the rails so the whole rack contributes, and the unit draws minimal energy — a gentle, steady warmth rather than a blast of heat. Beyond warm towels, that steady output helps a small or poorly ventilated bathroom feel less damp, which is welcome in Canadian homes where winter humidity likes to settle on tile and glass. Wet swimsuits, mitts, ski base layers and toques dry on it too, which is why it often ends up being used well beyond bath time.

Installation notes
The Themis is designed for straightforward wall mounting, which keeps the floor clear for cleaning and makes a small bathroom feel more open. Plan the location first: a spot within arm's reach of the shower or tub, high enough that the bottom rail clears the vanity or toilet, with enough clearance above and around the rails for air to circulate freely. Anchor into studs or use hardware rated for the wall type, and keep the rack away from direct spray. Electrical work should follow local code and, where required, be completed by a licensed electrician — the cleanest result is a hardwired connection roughed in during the renovation, before the tile and drywall go up. If you are retrofitting an existing bathroom, decide on the supply strategy early, since it is far easier to plan than to correct.
Where it fits best
Master ensuites and guest bathrooms are the obvious homes for it, but the Themis is just as at home in a powder room, a condo bathroom where wall space is precious, a basement bathroom that never quite warms up, or a cottage that sits cold between visits. On the commercial side, contractors specify heated towel racks for boutique hotels and inns, day spas, hair and beauty salons, massage and physiotherapy clinics, pool and gym change rooms, and short-term rentals where guests notice the small comforts. In every one of those settings it does the same two jobs: it makes linens warm and it keeps them dry. Have questions about placement or electrical requirements for your project?
