Built to take a beatingThe DL-EC2 uses a
white post-painted steel housing with a split LED box cover, a construction that stays straight over a full 8-foot run and takes the knocks of a working building. The
PMMA opal lens is mounted on the LED box cover and snaps onto the housing, diffusing the diodes into a smooth band of light rather than a row of visible dots. The fixture is rated for damp locations and operates from -20˚C to +50˚C, so an unheated garage, a loading dock or a cold storage corridor is fair game. Where forklifts, ladders or sports gear are in play, the optional field-installed wire guard adds a layer of protection without blocking output.
Light quality and selectable outputLumiled LEDs deliver an efficacy of 130lm/w and a 120° beam angle, which is what lets one row of these
LED strip lights cover a wide aisle. Field selectable wattage gives you 136W (21000 lumens), 106W (16400 lumens), 94W (15200 lumens) or 80W (13000 lumens), and field selectable CCT gives you 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K and 6500K. CRI is greater than 80 and the L70 hour rating is 100,000 hours. In practice, a contractor can stock one part number and set 136W at 5000K over a warehouse floor, then 80W at 3500K in an adjacent corridor — same fixture, same look, two very different lighting jobs.

Wiring, mounting and controlsThe
auto-sensing 120-347V driver removes voltage guesswork on mixed commercial services and simplifies ordering for multi-building projects. A J-BOX split cover plate is included, and the fixture mounts on standard snap-on brackets for surface installation or hangs from chain; row mounting is possible with the optional row mount joiner plate for continuous runs down an aisle. The "/A" suffix means this unit is 12V auxiliary compatible, ready for the optional low-voltage microwave sensor and its remote control. Keep in mind that microwave sensors can see through walls or glass thinner than 20cm, that detection is affected by speed of motion, mounting height and movement volume, that they cannot penetrate metal, and that the fixture should not be mounted where it can shake — rooftop HVAC, ceiling fans or large machinery can cause false triggering. All units are 0-10V dimmable for daylight harvesting or scheduled dimming.
Applications and documentationTypical uses called out by the manufacturer are corridors, utility rooms and warehousing, and this 8-foot high-output version is the one to choose when ceilings are higher or aisles are wider — distribution centres, workshops, service bays, arenas' back corridors, grocery stock rooms and municipal garages. For offices, stairwells and smaller rooms in the same building, the
DL-EC2 4FT 56W strip light and the
DL-EC2 4FT "L" sensor-ready strip share the same family and finish, while the
2' LED wraparound fixture handles tight closets and entries. The complete technical PDF spec sheet, including the dimensional drawing and the full ordering guide, is available in the Documentation tab.
