A designer piece, not just a mirror
The CHICX series from Paris Mirror was created for interiors where details matter. The rectangular format is the most versatile shape in bathroom design — it sits comfortably over a single vanity, centres neatly above a pedestal sink, and can be paired side by side over a double vanity for a symmetrical, hotel-style look. The gold finish is what sets this model apart from the endless sea of plain frameless mirrors: it adds warmth, depth and a hint of glamour, and it coordinates naturally with brushed brass, champagne bronze and antique gold hardware that has become so popular in Canadian renovations.
Light quality that flatters
The integrated LED light source runs at 3000K, a warm white tone that sits between candlelight and neutral white. This is the sweet spot for personal grooming: it renders skin tones naturally instead of washing them out, it reduces the harsh shadows you get from a single overhead ceiling fixture, and it keeps the room feeling calm and welcoming rather than clinical. Because the light comes from the mirror itself, it arrives at your face from the front rather than from above — which is exactly why makeup artists and barbers insist on front lighting. LEDs also draw far less power than the halogen or incandescent vanity bars they replace, and they produce almost no heat, so the mirror surface stays comfortable.

Installation and planning tips
Plan your lighted mirror the way a pro would: decide on the mirror before the tile and the electrical rough-in, so the supply point lands behind the mirror body and stays completely hidden. Centre the mirror on the sink rather than on the vanity cabinet when the two are not aligned — your eye follows the basin. Leave enough clearance above the backsplash and below the ceiling so the mirror does not feel crowded, and keep the faucet handle swing in mind if your mirror sits low. Because the light is built in, you do not need sconces on either side; if you still want them for a layered look, keep them on a separate switch so you can use the mirror light on its own during the night. As with any bathroom fixture, installation should follow the Canadian Electrical Code and local bylaws, and hiring a licensed electrician is always the safest route.
Where it works best
Residential ensuites and powder rooms are the obvious home for this mirror, but it earns its place just as easily in commercial spaces: hotel and short-term rental bathrooms, hair salons and barbershops, esthetics and lash studios, spa treatment rooms, medical and dental office washrooms, and boutique change rooms. In a small condo bathroom it does double duty — the reflective surface visually enlarges the room while the integrated light frees the wall of clutter. In a larger primary bathroom, a pair of these rectangles over a double vanity creates a balanced, high-end composition. If you need help confirming dimensions or electrical requirements for your specific project, reach out before ordering so the rough-in is right the first time.
