Built for real working ceilings
The UFO high bay format exists for one reason: it throws a broad, round pool of light from a single point, high above the floor. That makes the NEXLEDS 150W/120W/100W UFO Highbay Light 3CCT ideal for open spans where you want fewer fixtures doing more work. The compact circular body hangs cleanly from a ceiling hook, chain or pendant, so it slips into layouts that already used metal halide or fluorescent high bays without redesigning the grid. Because the housing is self-contained, there's no separate ballast box to mount and no remote driver to find a spot for.
Selectable wattage and 3CCT explained
Two features do the heavy lifting here. First, selectable wattage: the fixture can be set to 150W, 120W or 100W. Higher setting for tall ceilings and wide aisles, lower setting for shorter shops, storage rooms and garages — one SKU covers all three scenarios, which is a real advantage when you're stocking a truck or a job trailer. Second, 3CCT means three selectable colour temperatures built right into the fixture. Instead of ordering a specific kelvin value and hoping it matches the room, you choose on site: cooler for crisp inspection and task work, warmer for spaces that feel too clinical. If you're phasing a retrofit, that selector lets new fixtures blend with what's already hanging.

Installation and planning tips
Mounting height drives everything with high bay lights. The higher the ceiling, the higher the wattage setting you'll want, and the wider you can space the fixtures; drop the ceiling height and you either lower the wattage or tighten the spacing to avoid hot spots and dark corners. For a two-car detached garage or a small shop, a single unit centred over the work area usually transforms the room. For a warehouse aisle, run them in a straight line down the centre of the aisle so the light falls between the racks rather than on top of them. Always confirm the wattage and colour temperature selection before the fixture goes up — it's much easier to set at bench height than on a lift. Electrical connections and mounting hardware should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local codes.
Where it shines, and what to check
Think warehouses and distribution floors, auto and truck repair bays, welding and woodworking shops, agricultural and equipment buildings, gyms and arenas, storage mezzanines, big-box retail back rooms and serious home garages. In Canada, where daylight is short for a good chunk of the year and work carries on regardless, a bright, instant-on LED high bay makes a measurable difference to how safe and productive a space feels — no warm-up, no restrike delay after a power blip. Before you finalize the order, open the Documentation tab and download the NX-UHBS8-150W-H-MV-TCP spec sheet: it's the reference you'll want for the full electrical and photometric details, and it's handy to hand off to your electrician or inspector.
